Ode to Waterhouse

J.W. Waterhouse is probably one of my favorite painters. This doll is called "Ode to Waterhouse" as a nod to his work "Windflowers".
"Ode to Waterhouse" is 18" tall with base included. I really enjoyed making her, especially sculpting and painting her face.
Her clothing is from bits of silk and satin, laces and bead embellishments.

She is gorgeous and I love the sense of wind blown lady that you have given to her.

I can almost feel the breeze stirring her cloak. Wonderful work! I also like how she is caught in mid step-- one heel not completely down.

I am SO happy to have found your blog. I took your "Windows" class on line and absolutely loved it. The advice you gave me was the best and got me on the road to drawing faces far more confidently. Thank you so much Angela. I'll be following you regularly now!

Love this doll and all your work. How do you get the clothing to stay in motion. Something I have been trying to figure out for a while.
