J.W. Waterhouse is probably one of my favorite painters. This doll is called "Ode to Waterhouse" as a nod to his work "Windflowers".

"Ode to Waterhouse" is 18" tall with base included. I really enjoyed making her, especially sculpting and painting her face..jpg)
Her clothing is from bits of silk and satin, laces and bead embellishments.

I can almost feel the breeze stirring her cloak. Wonderful work! I also like how she is caught in mid step-- one heel not completely down.
